Program Overview

Challenge

Protect multiple fragile composite airframes and sensitive payload electronics during transit — while keeping the package easy to open and allowing for the pack to be reused.

Approach

Die-cut polyethylene foam inserts toleranced to the airframe geometry, a V11C corrugated crate outer for structural protection, and a custom pallet base. Closure system using klimps designed for repeated field use without tools allowing us to leverage the light-weight strength of corrugated materials.
